Millwork and Cabinetry Education Instructor

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate shall demonstrate strong organizational, communication, human relations, instructional, classroom management, team and public relations/community skills.  Applicants should have a sincere interest in and a commitment to work with students, parents, staff, businesses, community organizations and associate district schools.  The Millwork and Cabinetry Education Instructor should work with the other manufacturing education staff to develop, maintain and promote the school's Millwork and Cabinetry Educational Program.  Industry based experience in the field of manufacturing and/or furniture/cabinetry-making preferred.

 

CERTIFICATION:

Career-Technical or Vocational Certificate/License in Millwork and Cabinet Making Education (or the ability to get one.

 

DUTIES:

The Building Trades Instructor will teach middle and high school instruction in Millwork and Cabinetry Education at West Holmes High School.  The instructor will work closely with the immediate supervisor, advisory committee and academic teachers to coordinate instruction and to prepare students for successful completion of the Millwork and Cabinetry Education program.  The instructor should be able to teach and manage labs in the Millwork and Cabinetry Education program.

 

CONTRACT:

2026-2027 Contract – 184 contracted days.  Teacher will follow the West Holmes High

School schedule.

 

SALARY:

Appropriate placement on 2026-2027 teachers’ salary schedule based on certification/licensure, education/degree and experience.
